Ingredients

  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the Russet potatoes.
  • Cut the potatoes into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Soak the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  • Drain the fries and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  • In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, salt, paprika, and pepper.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness; they should be golden and crispy.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your air fryer French fries!
