Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized apples
  • 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of caramel sauce
  • Chopped nuts optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Peel and core the apples, then set them aside.
  • Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into squares.
  • Place an apple in the center of each square of dough.
  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon inside each apple.
  • Wrap the dough around the apple, sealing it well.
  • Place the wrapped apples in a baking dish.
  • Melt the butter and pour it over the dumplings.
  • Combine water and remaining sugar, then pour it over the dumplings.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
