Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel and core the apples, then set them aside.
Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into squares.
Place an apple in the center of each square of dough.
Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon inside each apple.
Wrap the dough around the apple, sealing it well.
Place the wrapped apples in a baking dish.
Melt the butter and pour it over the dumplings.
Combine water and remaining sugar, then pour it over the dumplings.
Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
