Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of pasta penne or rigatoni
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add marinara sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic.
  • Mix in the cooked pasta and season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish.
  • Spoon the ricotta mixture over the pasta, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with the remaining pasta mixture and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
