Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk.
  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  • Layer with chocolate and vanilla frosting, then decorate with bananas, cherries, and sprinkles.
