Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture.
Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough to release air, then shape it into a loaf.
Place the shaped dough in a greased loaf pan and cover it again. Let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
