Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture.
Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk.
Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it 3-4 times.
Pat the dough to about 1-inch thick and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, close together.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
