Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves.
Boil the cabbage leaves in salted water for about 5 minutes until soft.
In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a baking dish, layer the cooked cabbage leaves and meat mixture.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cabbage on top.
If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top layer.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.
