Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and rinse it under cold water.
  • Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick steaks.
  • Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on top.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast during the last 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
