Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add pecans to the saucepan and stir to coat.
Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes until pecans are well-coated.
Transfer the pecans to the prepared baking sheet and spread them out.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
Once cooled, break apart any clusters and store in an airtight container.
