Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Sear the chicken in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  • Stir in the cooked rice and mix well.
  • Place the seared chicken on top of the rice mixture in the skillet.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the chicken.
  • Cover the skillet and bake for 20 minutes.
