Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture generously over the chicken thighs.
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the chicken thighs and add lemon slices and chicken broth to the skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
