Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
