Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and then add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Distribute the batter evenly into the muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  • Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of each muffin for decoration.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Enjoy your freshly baked chocolate chip muffins warm or at room temperature!
