Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warmed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tbsp milk for icing

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the flour; mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Spread melted butter over the dough; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 12 pieces.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
