Ingredients

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • Optional: milk cream, sweetener, or flavorings

Instructions

  • Measure out 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee.
  • Combine the coffee and 4 cups of filtered water in a large pitcher.
  • Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
  • Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap.
  • Let the mixture steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  • Prepare a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter.
  • Pour the coffee mixture through the strainer into another container.
