Ingredients

  • 400 g pasta fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish
  • Optional: cooked chicken or shrimp

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic.
  • Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Drain the pasta and reserve a cup of pasta water.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  • If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
