Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup mixed berries raspberries, blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fruit jam red currant or raspberry
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour and sugar thoroughly.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Blend in the cream cheese until the dough forms.
  • Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut into circles and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spoon mixed berries onto the center of each circle.
  • Fold the edges slightly over the filling to create a border.
  • Brush the edges with egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
