Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: whipped cream or ice cream for serving

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the apples.
  • Remove the core and slice the apples into rings or wedges.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  • Add the sliced apples to the skillet.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt over the apples.
  • Drizzle lemon juice onto the apples.
