Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Begin by cleaning and deveining the shrimp if not already done.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Introduce the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
  • Reduce heat and add the remaining butter to the skillet.
  • Pour in the lemon juice and stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the shrimp for garnish.
  • Remove from heat and let it rest for a minute.
  • Serve immediately with crusty bread or over pasta.
