Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce.
Toss the pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan before serving.
