Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce.
  • Toss the pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan before serving.
