Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Reduce heat to low and slowly whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese.
Continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash more cream.
Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken slightly.
Toss the sauce with cooked pasta of your choice.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
