Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained
  • 1 can 28 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • Optional toppings: cheese sour cream, cilantro

Instructions

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the ground meat.
  • Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  • Stir in chili powder, cumin, and paprika; cook for another minute.
  • Add diced tomatoes, drained beans, and broth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Close the lid, ensuring the vent is sealed.
  • Set to manual high pressure for 15 minutes.
  • Allow a natural release for 10 minutes.
  • Carefully release any remaining pressure and open the lid.
  • Stir well and adjust seasoning if needed.
