Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
Rub olive oil over the skin and sprinkle with salt.
Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack.
Bake for about 45-60 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
Check doneness by inserting a fork; it should slide in easily.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Cut a slit on top and fluff the insides with a fork.
