Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 sheets of pie crust
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Stir in ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Add beef broth and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Roll out the pastry dough and line a pie dish.
  • Fill the pastry with the meat mixture and cover with another layer of dough.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
