Add diced onions and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
Stir in chopped bell peppers and cook until softened.
Add halved cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
Add uncooked pasta to the pot, stirring to combine.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Once pasta is al dente, remove from heat and stir in fresh basil.
Serve hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.
