Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and chili powder.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring even coverage.
  • Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the ribs to keep them moist.
  • Cover the ribs tightly with foil to trap steam.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
  • Remove the foil and brush barbecue sauce generously over the ribs.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
