In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter to the flour mixture.
Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
Incorporate candied fruits and raisins into the dough.
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
Once doubled in size, punch down the dough and shape it into a ball again.
Place the dough in a panettone mold and let it rise again for about 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
