Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sugar optional
  • 1 cup of cold water optional
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Select a ripe pineapple, ensuring it’s sweet and fragrant.
  • Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple to create a stable base.
  • Stand the pineapple upright and carefully slice off the skin, removing all the 'eyes.'
  • Cut the pineapple into chunks, discarding the core.
  • Place the pineapple chunks into a blender.
  • Add sugar if desired, and blend until smooth.
  • For a thinner consistency, add cold water and blend again.
  • Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy your fresh pineapple juice!
