Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture; mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and add your favorite toppings.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
