Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
Mix until just combined, then divide the batter into two bowls.
Add pink food coloring to one bowl and yellow to the other, mixing well.
Pour the batters into the prepared pans, alternating colors.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Once cooled, layer the cakes with whipped cream in between, frosting the top and sides.
Decorate with edible glitter and a crown on top.
