Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • Food coloring pink and yellow
  • Edible glitter or decorations

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  • Mix until just combined, then divide the batter into two bowls.
  • Add pink food coloring to one bowl and yellow to the other, mixing well.
  • Pour the batters into the prepared pans, alternating colors.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, layer the cakes with whipped cream in between, frosting the top and sides.
  • Decorate with edible glitter and a crown on top.
