Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • Coleslaw optional, for topping

Instructions

  • Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork.
  • Place the pork in a slow cooker or oven-safe dish.
  • Pour barbecue sauce over the pork, ensuring it’s well coated.
  • For slow cooking, set on low for 8 hours; or cover and cook at 300°F for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks.
  • Mix the shredded pork with remaining barbecue sauce.
  • Toast slider buns lightly if desired.
  • Assemble sliders by placing a generous amount of pulled pork on each bun.
