Ingredients

  • 1 whole bulb of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs optional, e.g., thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Take a whole bulb of garlic and peel off the outer layers of skin.
  • Slice the top off the garlic bulb, exposing the individual cloves.
  • Place the bulb on a square of aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle olive oil generously over the exposed cloves.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the garlic.
  • Optionally, add fresh herbs for extra flavor.
  • Wrap the bulb tightly in the foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until tender.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before unwrapping.
  • Press the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins and enjoy!
