In a bowl, combine warm water and sugar; sprinkle yeast on top and let it froth for 5-10 minutes.
Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture.
Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Punch down the dough to release air and shape it into a loaf.
Place the shaped dough in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Optionally, brush the top with milk for a golden crust, then bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
