Ingredients

  • 1 pound 450g sausage meat
  • 1 package puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs like thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut the pastry into rectangles, about 4 inches wide.
  • Season the sausage meat with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Place a portion of sausage meat along one edge of each rectangle.
  • Roll the pastry over the sausage meat, sealing the edges.
  • Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
