Prepare toppings: dice tomatoes, slice avocado, and chop lettuce.
In a bowl, layer the rice as the base.
Add sautéed black beans and onions on top of the rice.
Arrange diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, and shredded lettuce over the beans.
Sprinkle cheese and add a dollop of salsa.
Serve with corn tortillas.
