Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Tortilla chips
  • Optional: sour cream and jalapeños

Instructions

  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add taco seasoning and follow package instructions.
  • Chop the lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl.
  • Add the halved cherry tomatoes and black beans to the bowl.
  • Once the beef is ready, let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad bowl.
  • Dice the avocado and add it to the salad.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the salad.
  • Drizzle with salsa and mix gently to combine.
  • Serve with tortilla chips on the side.
