In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
Drain excess fat from the skillet.
Add taco seasoning and follow package instructions.
Chop the lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl.
Add the halved cherry tomatoes and black beans to the bowl.
Once the beef is ready, let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad bowl.
Dice the avocado and add it to the salad.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the salad.
Drizzle with salsa and mix gently to combine.
Serve with tortilla chips on the side.
