Ingredients

  • 2 cups white queso cheese like white American or Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 jalapeño finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually add the white queso cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • If using, add the chopped jalapeño for heat.
  • Stir in the cumin and season with salt and pepper.
  • Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
