Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter for brushing

Instructions

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and salt.
  • Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until well combined, then gradually stir in the remaining flour.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter before serving.
