Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
Add marinara sauce to the skillet with the ground beef and stir to combine.
In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In a large baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti at the bottom.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ziti layer.
Pour half of the meat sauce over the ricotta layer.
Add another layer of ziti, followed by the remaining ricotta mix, and top with the remaining meat sauce.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
